A new point of view on writing and being a writer can be found by taking a step back and looking at the big picture
A New Point Of View To Writing
There isn’t one specific way to look at writing or being a writer. Everyone has their own unique perspective, and it’s important to find your own voice and define your own success. That said I wanted to share with you some of the things I have picked along the way of my writing journey.
Inspiration and Education
Writing to me is an art form and should be explored with curiosity and creativity. Don’t be afraid to experiment and approach different styles and genres.
It’s so important to read as much as you can, both for inspiration and for education. I love to read I use reading as a way to stay on top of my vocabulary and finding ideas one sentence can sometimes bring about an entire blog post for me. That’s why writing prompts are always something good to keep handy when you want a new point on anything. Good writing takes time and practice. Don’t get discouraged if your work isn’t perfect from the start. I had to persevere and learn from my mistakes, and just keep growing as a writer.
Writing Is A Journey
I feel like you have to look at writing like a journey. It’s full of surprises, twists and turns, hills, and valleys. At times it’s exhilarating, and at other times it’s so frustrating! What I learned is you have to take breaks the article can wait self care is a must. What you don’t want to do is force it.
One of the best ways to have a new point of view as a writer is to simply ask yourself how you could approach your writing from a different perspective
Sometimes it can be the simplest things taking a walk or listening to music can give you fresh ideas for approaching your work. Most important thing is to keep moving forward. One of the ways to have a new point of view as a writer is to simply ask yourself how you could approach your writing from a different perspective.
For instance, instead of starting with outline when writing an article, start with the conclusion( I know crazy right?). Or focus on emulating somebody else’s writing style not copy but take notes from some of your favorite authors. Think what makes you read their post. What do you like about them as a writer? Not only will this help break you out of any ruts you may be in, it also makes writing more interesting and sometimes more successful.
Knowledge Is Key
No matter how much experience you have, there’s always more to learn. Keep reading and researching in your genre and outside of your genre as well, try venturing outside of your comfort zone. If you don’t want to read the topics listen to Podcast or Youtube is always fun! Make sure you fact check though not everything you read is truth. The point I’m trying to make here is the more knowledge you have, the richer your writing will be. Just make sure that you always come back to your work with a fresh pair of eyes.
In the end it’s important to remember the passion you have for writing and why you started in the first place don’t ever lose that bond between you and your words.Freckles and Lemonade
