Have you ever used a mood board to create the room you have always dreamed of? In this blog post, I’m not only gonna show you to create a mood board I’m going to show you how to use it to create the living room you have always wanted.

I’m so excited about this because I just love creating new designs and decorating living rooms are one of my favorites!

WHAT IS A MOOD BOARD?

FIRST THINGS FIRST! What is a mood board?

A mood board is “a collection of images, fabrics, and other visual references that are used to convey the style, atmosphere, or feeling of a project” In other words, it’s like a visual inspiration board. You can use anything from planning a party to designing a room.

For our purposes, we are going to use it to design our dream living room.

Now that we know what mood boards are and what they can be used for, let’s get started on creating one for our living room. The first step is to decide what kind of vibe we’re going for. Do you want a living room to be cozy and inviting or modern and sleek? Once you have an idea of the overall mood you are going for, start gathering images that reflect that. Once you have collected some images, start arranging them into a collage. Be sure to include different both large and small pieces, as well as different textures and colors.

So now that we have finished the living room design mood board let’s get to decorating!

So it stands to reason that you’d want to decorate it in a way that reflects your own personality. If you’re not sure how to do that don’t worry we’ve got you covered. Here are some tips on how to decorate your living room to fit your personality:

If you want your living room to reflect your personality, the first step is to choose a theme or style that suits you. Do you prefer a modern, minimalist look?

If you’re more bohemian, maybe something like vintage modern would be good for you. If you’re into sleek and elegant, go for something like Mid-century Modern. Once you’ve decided on a style start picking out furnishings that reflect that style.

Get rid of clutter in the room this is your chance to start fresh! Or are you more drawn to vintage or antique furnishings? Once you’ve decided on a general direction, you can begin to select individual pieces that will give your room character and flair.

Pick a color scheme that reflects your personality. If you’re vibrant and outgoing, go for bright colors like orange or yellow. For those who are more subdued, try calming hues like blue or green.
